Mothering is a learned behaviour

The girls have been doing a lot mothering lately. Emily likes to 'feed' her dolly and Abi has managed to design up her own baby carrier for her dolly.

Angus - 5.5months

"I"m just so cute... and I know it!""I'm starting to get my head up higher"
"Here I go, I can see the world differently from here"
"Ok, that's enough... I'm tired now"

Diamond Creek Fair

A few weeks ago we ventured off to the Diamond Creek Fair. The girls got to choose one ride each - Emily chose the teapot ride and Abi chose the gigantic slide (Abi got to accompany Emily on the teapot ride, so really got two rides). Angus only got a ride in Daddy's arms. We also had a look at the camels and ate the necessary junk food before heading home.

Angus is now 5 months and started wanting night feeds again so it's time to start solids.... so all we have to do now is convince Angus that food is good!
"Abi, what are you trying to feed me?"
"mmm, maybe it's not too bad..."
"No, it really is disgusting!"

Emily's first pony ride

Emily finally decided that she was ready for her first pony ride. Before this she has been terrified to get too close to those scary ponies.... (much to mum's disappointment). But as you can see from the smiles she is now very keen.

Angus and Emily

Angus and Emily had a bit of a photo session while Abi was at kindergarten, I couldn't help it - they just looked so cute!
Emily often says "I like Angus", you can see here that she really does love having a little brother.

Angus thought it was quite funny that he had bunny ears!

Wattle Festival

We all went along to the Watttle Festival the other day and had a lovely ride on a stream train, went on a bouncy castle, got to pat some baby animals and had generally had fun wandering around Hurstbridge.
