Abi's first day of Kindergarten

Today was Abi's first day of kinder - quite a strange feeling for Mum but very exciting for Abi. Can't quite believe that this time next year the posting will be called "first day of school"!

Here's the beautiful girl with her 'special dolly' and in her kinder hat.

Bike Riding - Australia Day

We made the most of the Australia day long weekend to do a bit of family bike riding.

Abi is getting "pretty good" at riding her Christmas bike.

Emily is trying to get the hang of riding like a big girl.... but thinks it is much more fun to push the bike along
and chase after it.

Holidays with the Walker clan

After Christmas we headed up the the Brisbane Walkers where we spent three weeks with Ma, Pa and Bec as well as the London Walkers, who were over for a visit too.

We spent a bit of time in Brisbane, swimming most days and visiting Thomas the tank engine (highlight for Abi). Then we headed up the Sunshine Coast where we stayed for another couple of weeks.

We were very busy and managed to swim everyday, in either the swimming pool or beach, as well as go to Australia zoo, The Ginger factory, The Super Bee, play mini golf, go out for Grandma's b'day lunch as well as have a bit of time for some R&R.
Here's some photos.....

More Chrissy presents when we arrived in QLD... Swimming in Ma and Pa's pool. Both girls gained so much confidence and increased skill level swimming every day, it was great for both of them.
Visiting the Thomas exhibition...
Up to the Sunshine coast and off to Australia zoo. Abi got to see Bindi the jungle girl, she was quite excited. Here we are patting a baby croc.
Some fun friends from the croc show.
We both enjoyed feeding the Kangaroos...

although this was as close as Em was prepared to get.

Adrian, Rachel, Bec and Jamie on the train at the Ginger Factory.

Although we were very busy, the best times were hanging out on the beach with our family and enjoying the great Australian sun, surf and sand! (After doing a bit of slip, slop, slapping of course!) The girls loved playing in the rock pools.

Abi was quite the intrepid explorer, always wanting to go onto the next rock pool to see what she might find...

After all the exploring there was time to sit and play in the sand and...

hang out with Pa on the water's edge.

And at the end of the holiday we vowed to keep in touch with out little London cousin....
