Emily turns one - July 24th 2007

Emily has turned one - she is no longer a little baby (although some would say she never really has been that little).

We had a small party - so of course there had to be balloons. Then we got dressed up in our party frocks!
And then there was b'day cake, Em needed help from the whole family to blow out the candles.

We made some b'day cookies - now that Em is a big girl it is time to introduce her to the finer points of licking the spoon when baking.

And after all that chocolate it is important to brush those little teeth.

Day at the park - 11th July

Here are the girls at the park enjoying some sunshine earlier in the month.
Em thought she might sample the bark and see if it is as good as the mulch at home.

Emily's Inside fun

On these cold Winter days Emily loves to have a chat on the phone to friends and family. She thinks the phone is the funniest thing in the world and always races to it whenever the phone rings, laughing and chatting at the top of her voice.

Emily has also been quite industrious in learning to walk. Lots of practice time on these cold days and she is getting very competent at walking whilst pushing something along in front of herself. Races up and down the hall are a frequent event. Abi usually wins...

After all that excercise it is time for a snack and Emily thinks she's a very big girl being able to sit up at Abi's table rather than in the high chair.
