Well, we finally got some rain the other day in Melbourne.
Abi thought it would be a great idea to try out her new raincoat and gumboots. She also thought that her horse would like to have a play outside and get some fresh air.
Cold days are also good for playing in the inside cubby. Emily loves to play with her big sister, it's somewhat of a rarity that Abi is happy to let Emily join in her games.

Trip to the Beach - 21 March 07
The girls decided to make a trip to visit Aunty Sarah in Geelong before the warm weather disappears forever... We all had a lovely day hanging out at the Eastern Beach, swimming in the pool and playing on the playground, and of course eating ice creams and oysters for afternoon tea (not together I might add).
First we had a picnic lunch with the seagulls.
Then Aunty Sarah and Abi decided to do some fishing.
Abi thought she better go in for a close look at the fish and see if she could catch any.
Emily, of course, thought it was all very funny from her vantage point in the pram.

Moomba - 10th March
Over the long weekend in March, Ba and Pa came for a visit. We all went to the Moomba festival along the Yarra. It was a great day, even though Abi wasn't feeling the best. Aunty Sarah popped in for a quick bear ride as well. It's amazing what a bucket of fairy floss can do for someone who is feeling unwell - instant energy release !
Emily decided a whole bunch of grapes would be good for afternoon tea since she wasn't allowed any fairy floss.

Welcome Emily Elizabeth
On July 24th 2006, Emily arrived to join the family. At nearly 10 pounds (4.5kg), there was no way she was coming out naturally. An emergency C section was called for when her heart rate jumped and she was getting distressed (she wasn't the only one). All ended well, and we have another beautiful baby girl.
Emily 2 days old
Emily 4 days - looking just lik her big sister. Compare the photo of Abigail (in the archives).
