Easter at the Pikes

We spent Easter Saturday and Sunday at Nanny and Poppy's with others from the Pike clan. The usual activities occurred - feeding the fish, eating lots of chocolate, posing for photos. There were a few other new activities as well - catching butterflies, playing with a circus set as well singing happy b'day to Lloyd.

Our Owl friend

We have had a recent spate of animal encounters - I have seen an owl, possum and wombat all in the last week - I love living in the 'country'.

B'day celebrations for Angus

We decided to have Angus's b'day and dedication a few weeks early so that everyone could make the special day. Angus decided that even though he's not quite one it was a good time to start practicing his walking. He had a lovely time showing off at his party and of course he had lots of help blowing out his one candle.

Mushroom boy

Angus got his very own bike helmet on the weekend and Mum got a new bike, so now the whole family can go riding together. Unfortunately the helmet makes him look like a mushroom, a cute mushroom, but still a mushroom.

Angus needed some practise first on something a bit smaller...

then he graduated to the back of Dad's bike.

Hello sunshine

Here is our beautiful sunflower. We did plant another 5 but only one survived the journey from seedling to fully grown flower... oh well, maybe next year we'll have a bumper crop.
